Photographer
I have had the privilege to photograph in so many places and for so many people, my profession is a really cool one. Most of the time it does not feel like working. I guess the day it feels like work is the day I quit. Unfortunately, I can get working on a project and spend 14 hours straight and not realize 2 hours have gone by. As with a lot of other creative people, it is in the middle of the night when many of the ideas come.
Image Maker
To put it simply, I am not just a photographer and I am not just a designer. I use both skills to create both professional image and brand. Many of my jobs task me to create not just pictures, but an identity. I best describe myself as IMAGE MAKER. Image Maker is someone who is tasked to create an image or identity for both people and corporations.
Photography makes me a better designer and my designing makes me a better photographer. For me, it is always moving, growing, exploring. One of the most important aspects for me being both a photographer and designer is when I get in a creative rut. It is nice to have the ability to take a step back and work in both worlds. This keeps things fresh for me, not repetitive. I can only speak for myself, but as a creative person, there are times when the creative forge is slower than normal. Having multiple work fields allows me to transition to something else for a while. In the long run, the diversity of jobs and not being linear in my services keeps all my jobs fresh and fun... which generally leads to very happy clients.
